Donations go directly to making Hampshire Pride happen.  The funds we receive cover operational costs for the day.  As Dolly Parton once said, "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap."

This year's big capital investment provides tents for our ~130 vendors.  It was about a $20,000 investment into our Hampshire Pride Vendor Festival.  They allow for increased safety and accessibility for both our vendors and their patrons.  The tents will be color-coded in both rainbow and trans flag hues.  They will also be branded with vendor locator numbers, so patrons can more easily find their favorite vendors.  

We spend funds on invisible things like securing venues, paying for necessary permits, electrical equipment.  We spend money on unsightly things too: port-o-potties, trash cans, and bags.  We also spend funds on prominent things like stage rentals, the performers who perform on them, and the ASL interpreters who translate their speech.  

If you're curious about the amount of compensation the pride committee receives...it's ZERO.  They receive no financial compensation with the sole exception of the drag coordinator position which is paid as a performer for their hosting duties on the day of the event.  We are doing this out of dedication to filling a single day out of the year in Hampshire County with queer joy.
